One month ago our lives were forever changed! As you saw in our last adoption post, we started the sequel about 2.5 months ago and our home study was completed on September 29. Our adoption with Maximus took 2.5 years, well after only 2.5 months and 3 weeks to the day that our home study was approved, we got the call that we had been selected by a family. Not only had we been selected, but our beautiful baby boy was already here!
Meet Thaddeus Everett, born October 17, 2020. We were able to bring Thaddeus home on October 25! We are over the moon in love with this little boy. His big brother, Maximus, loves to kiss him, give him dinosaurs to play with and try to pick him up! This adoption process was completely opposite of what we experienced the first time. We never spoke with a birthmom, never communicated back and forth, rather we showed up at the hospital and were directed to the room that our son was in. We are truly blessed to be the parents to these two beautiful, precious boys! God is so good.
